Katie Baxter’s high energy DJ sets have established her name in the world of dance music and queer club culture.

As well as playing at some of the biggest festivals in the UK, she’s also a popular broadcaster, hosting Saturday night’s on Reprezent Radio and co-hosting the UTOPIA Talks podcast, with BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar.

Dance floor focused

Katie has performed at the UK’s biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Parklife, Mighty Hoopla and Queercall.

Additionally, she has performed several times at Pikes, one of Ibiza’s most iconic clubs and hosted mixes on Hope St Radio and Skylab in Melbourne, Australia.

She recently collaborated on an event with the fashion brand lululemon, DJing six bespoke sets whilst major fitness influencers led workouts. She has also collaborated with streetwear brand Ed Hardy.

She is a regular performer at Dalston Superstore, playing for events such as Fèmme Fraîche, UTOPIA, Queer House Party and The Gay Agenda.

Other highlights of her career include supporting lau.ra, warming up for Annie Mac and headlining at the Women's Euros After Party 2022 in Manchester.

Katie is the face of Saturday nights on Reprezent Radio, sharing an array of cutting edge club music and playing host to guest mixes from major artists including Meg Ward, Azzecca, SONIKKU and Queer House Party.

Katie has also been heard across Bristol and Hackney on 1020 Radio and Subtle Radio. In Summer 2022, she was selected by Subtle Radio to perform as part of their summer showcase.

As a student, Katie made award winning content for University Radio Nottingham, where she was Head of Station and Playlist Editor.

UTOPIA Talks

Katie co-hosts the UTOPIA Talks podcast alongside BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar. The show is an entertaining and informative celebration of dance music - that's not afraid to challenge the industry and tackle issues faced by the younger generation. 

Season three featured guests including DJ Seinfeld, TSHA and Katy B.

In March 2023, they released a powerful two part documentary sharing the experiences of women, trans and non-binary people in dance music, with the voices of Annie Mac, Girls Don’t Sync, The Blessed Madonna and more.

UTOPIA Talks was nominated for Best Music Podcast in the PodBible Awards and it has featured in The Guardian, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, DMY and Crack Magazine.
